The Work Order History feature has been enhanced and is now called the Audit Log.

To view the history of a work order in the Audit Log, follow these steps:

  1. Open the work order in ShopView.

  2. Click the options menu (⋮) on the right side of the work order.

  3. Select Audit Log to view the history of the work order.

The Audit Log provides a more comprehensive and granular view of all activity within a Work Order, including: This feature is designed to provide transparency and detailed tracking for work orders and their associated line items.

  • Work Order-level history – track overall changes such as status updates, assignments, and financial edits

  • Line item-level history – view detailed changes made to individual labor lines and parts For example, changes include updates to status, modifications to assignments, and edits to financial details at the work order level, as well as adjustments to quantities or descriptions at the line-item level.

This enhancement gives you full visibility into who made changes, what was updated, and when—helping improve accountability and traceability across your workflow.

Q: Why can’t I see older history in the Audit Log for a work order?

A: The Audit Log does not include changes made before the feature was introduced. Only activity recorded after its release is available.

Limitations of the Audit Log

While the Audit Log is a powerful tool, it has certain limitations:

  • The Audit Log only tracks history and activity that occurred after the feature was introduced in ShopView.

  • Any changes or updates made to work orders before the release of the Audit Log feature are not recorded and will not appear in the log.
