General
How many websites can I create?
One website per account.
Is the setup wizard required?
Yes for first-time setup, but every step except your business name is optional. You can skip ahead and fill in details later.
Can I change things after the setup wizard?
Yes. Everything you enter during setup is fully editable in the editor.
What if I leave the setup wizard halfway through?
Your progress saves automatically. When you come back, you'll resume right where you left off.
What pages does my website have?
Home, Services, Repairs, About, and Contact.
Can I change the page layout?
The layout is fixed to ensure a professional, mobile-responsive design. You can customize all text, photos, colors, fonts, and theme.
Photos
What photo formats are supported?
PNG, JPG, and WebP. Maximum file size is 5MB during setup and 3MB in the editor.
How many photos can I have?
6 site-wide photos (one for each page section) plus individual photos on each service and repair.
What is the Photo Library?
A curated collection of professional photos from the heavy duty truck and diesel repair industry. They're free to use on your website.
What does Turbo Photo Fill do?
It automatically assigns random Photo Library images to all services or repairs that don't already have a photo. It's a quick way to fill out your site with professional images.
Are my photos compressed?
Yes. All photos are automatically resized and compressed for fast page loading. For the best results, upload the highest quality originals you have.
Services & Repairs
What's the difference between services and repairs?
Services are your general offerings (like "Fleet Services" or "Mobile Truck Repair"). Repairs are specific repair types (like "Brake Repair" or "Engine Rebuild"). They work the same way in the editor.
Can I add my own custom services or repairs?
Yes. Click "Add Custom Service" or "Add Custom Repair" and type any name. AI automatically generates a professional description for you.
Is there a limit on how many I can add?
No hard limit. Add as many services and repairs as your shop offers.
Can I reorder them?
Yes. Drag any service or repair using the grip handle to change the display order on your website.
Design
Can I change my website's colors?
Yes. Choose from 10 industry-optimized presets or enter any custom hex color code.
Can I change fonts?
Yes. There are 6 font packages to choose from, each designed for a different look and feel.
Should I use Light or Dark theme?
It depends on your logo. White or light-colored logos look best on the Dark theme. Dark-colored logos look best on the Light theme. Colorful logos work well with either.
Publishing
Is hosting free?
Yes. Hosting is included at no extra cost on a fast global CDN.
Do I need to buy a domain?
No. You get a free `.netlify.app` URL when you publish. Custom domains are optional — if you already own one, you can connect it.
How do I update my live site after making changes?
Make your changes in the editor, then click Publish. The update takes about 30 seconds.
Can I take my website down?
Yes. Click the dropdown arrow next to the Publish button and select Unpublish Site. Your content is preserved in the editor.
How long does publishing take?
Usually about 30 seconds. First-time publishing with a custom domain takes longer because of DNS setup.
My domain isn't working after I set up DNS. What should I do?
DNS changes can take 5–30 minutes to propagate, and in rare cases up to 48 hours. Click the verify button to check again. Make sure your DNS records match exactly what ShopView shows you, and that you've deleted any old conflicting records.
Reviews
How are Google reviews imported?
Automatically, if you provided your Google Business Profile URL during setup or in your social links. Import may take a few minutes after your website is created.
Can I add my own reviews?
Yes. Click the Reviews button in the toolbar and then "Add Review." Enter the author name, review text, and a star rating from 1 to 5.
How many reviews show on my website?
Up to 3 featured reviews. Drag reviews between the "Featured" and "Available" sections to control which ones appear.
Account & Reset
Can I start over from scratch?
Yes. Go to the Save dropdown in the toolbar and select Start Fresh. This deletes all your content and takes you back to the setup wizard. Your business name is preserved. If your site is currently published, you'll need to unpublish it first.
Is starting fresh reversible?
No. Once you confirm, all photos, services, repairs, reviews, page content, and chat history are permanently deleted.
