Overview
The Inventory Value Report shows what is sitting on your shelves right now, valued at cost and at sell price, and sliced by category or vendor. You will find it in the Parts section of the Reports tab.
Valuing the shelf as of an earlier date
ShopView takes a nightly snapshot of inventory value at every location. Pick an earlier date to see what the shelf was worth then and compare it against last month.
Important: snapshots began on August 24, 2026. The report can only look back to that date; earlier dates come up empty.
Filters
Category or vendor.
Locations: if you have access to multiple locations, you can view inventory value by specific locations or several at once.
Columns and exports
Pick your columns with the Column Selector; your choices persist for you and do not affect other users. Export to PDF or CSV. Exports respect the filters applied on screen and record them in the file.
Catalog vs. Inventory
This report shows value for parts currently stocked in Inventory only — it does not include every part in your Catalog. A part you've ordered and used directly on a Work Order is recorded in the Catalog but won't appear here unless it has also been added to Inventory (with a quantity and cost) via a Purchase Order or manually from the Inventory page.
There is currently no built-in count of total SKUs across Catalog and Inventory. To estimate a total for a category, filter this report by Category and export to CSV — the row count is your part-number total for that filter.
