Parts Velocity Report

Which parts actually move and make money, ranked by how often they sell, with special order parts shown next to stocked ones.

Overview

The Parts Velocity Report shows how quickly parts move in and out of your locations and which parts actually make money. Parts are ranked by how often they sell. You will find it in the Parts section of the Reports tab.

What the report shows

  1. How often each part sells over the period you choose.

  2. Which parts move and make money, so you can stop stocking the ones that do not.

  3. Special order parts next to stocked ones, so you can spot the things you order often enough to be worth carrying in inventory.

Filters and search

  1. Date range.

  2. Inventory parts, special order parts, or both.

  3. Categories.

  4. Bins, where your location uses them.

  5. Vendors.

  6. Locations: if you have access to multiple locations, you can include several at once.

The report also has its own search box, so you can narrow the list to a part number or keyword without touching the filters.

Columns and exports

The Column Selector offers many new columns beyond the defaults; your selections are saved per user and do not affect anyone else. Hover the tooltips on the more involved columns for a plain language explanation. Export to PDF or CSV. Exports include only the filtered, shortlisted data on screen and record the filters in the file.
